The Surgeon
Michael P. Ogilvie, M.D., M.B.A., is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon who is double board certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery. A native Chicagoan, he was born and raised in Hyde Park and is proud to serve the community he loves. Dr. Ogilvie prides himself on providing his patients with the highest levels of care founded on surgical expertise and artistic vision to give the most natural results possible.
The Education
After receiving his dual degrees, Dr. Ogilvie completed a rigorous five-year general surgery residency and a two-year post-doctoral research fellowship in trauma and critical care at Jackson Memorial Hospital at the University of Miami in Miami, FL. Dr. Ogilvie continued his training by accepting a plastic and reconstructive surgery fellowship at the highly renowned Duke University in Durham, NC, where he spent three years training alongside some of this country’s leading plastic and reconstructive surgeons. Finally, he rounded out his training experience with a year-long aesthetic and oculoplastic surgery fellowship at the prestigious Few Institute for Aesthetic Surgery in Chicago under the mentorship of the world-renowned plastic surgeon Dr. Julius Few. While at the University of Miami and Duke University, Dr. Ogilvie was named a chief resident at both programs.
